Financial aid applications for the 2026-2027 school year are OPEN. 

Apply for aid as early as possible to ensure that you receive the maximum amount of aid possible.

Children's Scholarship Fund

Apply before November 15th for the best chance to be selected and receive the maximum amount of aid.

Registration fee: Free to enter the lottery, if selected, $15

More information: SCFP is a lottery system. Entering the lottery takes less than 5 minutes and is free. If you are awarded a scholarship through the lottery, you will receive a more detailed application. If you are selected in the lottery, you will need to provide the following documentation for the full application:

• Proof of income – All taxable and non-taxable income is required for all adults in the household. Income includes but is not limited to Federal 1040 Tax Returns (no W2s), public assistance, child support, social security, unemployment, workers’ comp, retirement or VA benefits, foster/adoption subsidies, etc.

• Proof of address – A current lease/mortgage is required if the address on any documents is outside of Philadelphia.

• Proof of guardianship – Birth certificate or custody order required for any child in the household not claimed as a dependent on the federal tax return. Custody orders are required for any non-biological child of the registering adult.

BLOCS

Applications for BLOCS for the 2026-2027 school year will open in October.

 Application Length: Approx. 20 minutes

 Registration Fee: $30

 Award System: Income-based qualification

• Proof of income – 1040, and Schedule 1 if applicable. If you own a business, also your Schedule 3.
