What is Kindergarten like at De Sales?

We have two fantastic kindergarten teachers at De Sales, Ms. Tran and Ms. Hazel, who are both veteran teachers. In addition to the classroom teachers, both kindergarten classes also have full-time teachers aides.

  Academics: Students in Kindergarten explore a host of academic       concepts, including:
  -counting up to 100 and writing up to 30
  -representing and comparing whole numbers
  -identifying shapes (2D and 3D)
  -phonics and reading up to 100 sight words
  -handwriting
  -science concepts, including studying animals and ecosystems 
  -religion

In addition to the Kindergarten curriculum, De Sales Kinder students also have art class, music class, and gym class once a week.
