TGR
A TGR engineering and design lesson with 6th grade. Instructor Steph came down to SFDS from Cobbs Creek to work with the 6th grade on studying, discussing, designing, and building paper towers strong enough to hold a 16oz can. Their goal: Design the tallest tower possible that can hold a 16oz can the longest, in 15 minutes with a limited amount of paper and tape!
Students got to work with one of Tiger Woods Foundation's phenomenal instructors and a few student mentors from the Engineering Club at Cristo Ray High School to learn how to 3D print their own designs. Students were able to design and build drones in teams. Once complete, the teams raced their drone creations in a friendly competition.
